PAC - A Placement Assistance Cell (PAC) is created in the institute, to work in close association with the department and assist in various developmental activities and organizes various college level events. The motive behind forming this cell is to expose students to the placement drives conducted at the institute. PAC members are split in to various teams (viz. registration, online tests, hospitality, logistics etc.) and are thus groomed for better opportunities for themselves in their final year of studies.

Major Function of the Department:

Placements

• To look after the placement activities of students
• To have close liaison with industry for the placement of students. 
• Maintaining rapport with already established contacts in companies.
• Sharing periodic performance updates with companies.
• Engaging with assessment and hiring portals such as Hireclap, Aspiring Minds, Freshersworld, FirstNaukri etc. to provide a broad spectrum of job opportunities to the students.

• Maintaining placement and students record.

Internships

• Seeking internship opportunities from the market regional as well as outside city including work from home and work from office roles.
• Providing students with all kinds of internship opportunity from their second year onwards
• Mandatory internship in atleast one company by the final year for all the students.
• Maintaining internship records of the students

Trainings

• Arrange training programmes for soft skills and for interview facing skills for the students using institutional and external expertise

• Providing campus recruitment training to students.

• Providing soft skills and hard skills training to students.

• Creating vocational training opportunities specific to branch of study of the students.

• Seeking generic and specific information on skills that companies look for in fresh engineering graduates.

• Identifying training needs in students.

• Identifying effective and efficient training partners.

Industry Connect / MoUs

• Creating opportunities to enter in to MoU with corporate/ organizations for the holistic exposure of the student
• The Department also maintains symbiotic relationship with other educational institutions/ Universities for exchange of information and career opportunities for the students.

Guest Lectures/Field Visit/ Industrial visits

• Assisting in generating/organizing opportunities of Expert lectures, field and industrial visits of all students

Alumni Connect

• The department with the help to faculty members must establish good connect with the alma matters and organizes alumni connect activities each year.

Hackathons and Corporate Contests

• The department shares latest updates to the students to keep them posted on current market hiring trend and encourage them to participate in hackathons and various corporate contest.
